The river overcomes it’s own obstacles, rapids and waterfalls. The river will spill out into the ocean and the current will eventually bring it back. The river is a circular chain of events. Our lives flow in a circular motion and we are taken away by the distractions and pleasure of life. The river symbolizes the flow of life and the unity of the past, present, and future. It flows eternally, time is nonexistent because there is no separation between it.

I thank my lucky star every day I was a 90s baby , because say I was born ten years later I can honestly say I wouldn't feel the same way about music. By no means was this the decade of the BEST music because of course it still had your typical boy bands and groups of chicks who think that a really annoying voice and a nearly naked body will gain them respect in the music industry. I am talking about the timeless alternative rock round. We had Third eye blind who's music eloquently told stories of urban decay but there sound was always different than what you'd expect it to be when knowing the actual meaning behind it, which I believe is part of their allure. Along with Oasis , Matchbox 20 , The cranberries ,The red Hot chili peppers with their unmistakable sound, The counting crow, U2 and obviously gaining momentum Coldplay. The amount of single female artists was absurd as well , Alanis and Sarah Mclaughlin could still stand alone today. The point is , I feel sorry for the kids today who have to grow up to the likes of Justin Bieber , who's lyrics lack a soul. I've already establishment my musical identity and the 90's were the greatest platform I could possibly have received

For a true music guru , nothing is more irritating than when a song by a artist you've followed for years, comes on a mainstream radio station. You openly cause a scene actually. The even more annoying part is when one of your musically challenged friends downloads ONE song by your a artist to which you've been a loyal fan ( who can recite every lyric to almost every song) , and then they act like they love them. If this doesn't apply to you , then well , you're a mainstream junky.

Why ? Because corporate labels have been mutilating music for years , it's about what can sell, not about the integrity of the music. Remember when Train didn't suck ? Perfect example of playing into the mainstream pop scene.

Seriously , time isn't winding down. Can everyone stop saying life is so short. It's the longest thing you will ever have to go through.

Make some mistakes. Take a train to somewhere random. Close your eyes and point to somewhere on a map , and go. Stop rushing like the grim reaper is breathing down your neck. Yeah yeah yeah I get it , find someone to spend your life with , settle down , have kids, work your life away in the same career you've been preparing for your whole life. I don't know about you , but I can't let the person I dream of being die in lonely frustration over the life I deserved but never had time to get around to. Sometimes you need to take a turn in a new direction , just to see where you'll end up.

"Mare del ghaccio" directly means sea ice , well because there is no word in Italian for Iceberg.

The theory of the iceberg is that only 10% is on the surface , the other 90% is under the water; much like people. I make a consorted effort to draw my opinions from my own experience only. Don't ever think that you have the right to an opinion on someone else because to be honest , you don't know anything about anyone. You don't know anything about what anyone else has gone through , or what anyone has dealt with in their life. A very small part of ourselves in presented on the surface , you have to look under the water to find the very essence of one's being.

Anyone who knows anything about me , knows I don't like to be told what to do. I don't like to answer to anyone. Obvious authority issues, but I think we are masters of our own fate and architects of our own misery, SO why should I spend the majority of my life letting the ideas, opinions, and orders of others govern my life. Hey " I'm the one who has to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to" - Jimi Hendrix ( probably THE best definition of a kindred spirit). I know I know , I am part of the "me" generation , where american teens are more confident , assertive , and entitled but still more miserable than ever. There is a difference between only living for yourself , and living by your own rules. Once we all stop either , believing we are entitled to opinions that we have no right to , or realize that if our life's joy is influenced by the opinions of society we will always be dissatisfied , we might all start to actually understand each other. You start to feel more free , once you no longer care about anyone else's opinion of yourself. Try it.

Well kids , to be honest half the time I don't believe anyone has even the slightest idea of what I am saying. Oscar Wilde said "sometimes I am so clever I don't even understand what I am saying," hit the nail on the head if I do say so myself. We live our lives through quotations. I am full of them , because well most of the time I feel like I could have said them myself. We are all a lot more alike than we believe. I also listen to everything and anything Andy Warhol had to say.
